How To Dominate Local Searche
If you live in the United States and you keep your eye open for advertising you will notice that personal injury attorneys spend crazy money on advertising. In my town, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I see their ads on taxis, on the backs of buses, heck one lawyer even rented a truck, slapped a huge sign with an 800 number on it and pays somebody to drive the truck around town with his sign on it.

Official Google Blog: Introducing Google Places
Official Google Blog: Introducing Google Places
Twenty percent of all searches now done on Google are local searches. By that I mean people are typing in "Mexican Restaurants Manhattan", or "Bicycle Shops Boulder Colorado." They are adding a local qualifier to their searches. Google, being quite smart, has realized this and has set up Google Places as a way to better help people find local businesses.
In September 2009 Google launched Google Places. Google Places is a part of Google Maps. It is, according to Google a webpage for every place in the world. There are place pages for businesses, points of interest, neighborhoods, landmarks and cities all over the world.
You can get to a Place Page by clicking on "more info" in search results, or by clicking "more info" in the mini-bubble. Now, instead of just getting a slightly bigger bubble, you'll get an entire page of rich details, like photos, videos, a Street View preview, nearby transit, reviews and related websites.
Google wants there to be a Google Place page for every "place" in the world. They recently aggregated data to create over 50 million place pages for businesses and points of interest. Only about 4 million business have actually "claimed" their Google Places Page. You can create or update your Google Places page here.
Business owners can update their Google Places page with hours of operation, photos, videos, coupons and product offerings. Customers can also place reviews about the business on Google Places.
Here are some recently added features:
* Service areas: If you travel to serve customers, you can now show which geographic areas you serve. And if you run a business without a storefront or office location, you can now make your address private.
* A new, simple way to advertise: For just $25 per month, businesses in select cities can make their listings stand out on Google.com and Google Maps with Tags.
* Business photo shoots: In addition to uploading their own photos, businesses in select cities can now request a free photo shoot of the interior of their business which they will use to supplement existing photos of businesses on Place Pages.
* Customized QR codes: From the dashboard page of Google Places, businesses in the U.S. can download a QR code that’s unique to their business, directly from their dashboard page. QR codes can be placed on business cards or other marketing materials, and customers can scan them with certain smartphones to be taken directly to the mobile version of the Place Page for that business.
* Favorite Places: Google actually mailed out window decals to 50,000 businesses around the U.S. These decals include a QR code that can be scanned with a smartphone to directly view the mobile Place Page for the business to learn more about their great offerings.
You can now update your Google Place page in real time. You might want to promote a sale or special event or anything else you want customers to know about right now. You can even provide special coupons specially formatted for mobile phones.
Why is Google Places so important for your business? When is the last time you used your Yellow Pages? The Yellow Pages are dead. Everyone is looking for all there local needs on Google. Google Place pages are even appearing above organic searches for local searches. Google is how people are looking for their local needs. If you want your business to be found you must be on Google Places.
Google Places is also already optimized for mobile searches. More people have mobile phones than computers. This is how most people are searching for their local needs right now. Google Places is also part of Google Maps so if they want to find out how to get to your business they will most likely do a Google local search on their cell phone. You want to be found this way plus you want to make sure you have taken possession of your Google local page and full optimized it.
I would appreciate your comments in the comments area. Thank you! Matthew Meyer.

YouTube Promoted Videos How To Put A Clickable Link To Any Website In Your YouTube Video Using Call To Action Overlay
Being able to put a clickable link in your YouTube video with a clear call to action to visit your website is of course highly desirable for those who are using YouTube to market their products. The problem has been with YouTube annotations that you are only allowed to put a clickable link to a url directly on the YouTube network like a channel or another YouTube video. You cannot use YouTube annotations to put a link to a website outside of the YouTube network. So how can a marketer get a real call to action link right in the YouTube video and have it go to his website?
The answer is YouTube Paid Promotions. When you register your video with YouTube Paid Promotions you are allowed what they call a "Call To Action Overlay." This is a very nice blurb you can put at the bottom of your video with a description, display url and destination url. If the viewer clicks on the link they go directly to the website of your choice even if it is not on the YouTube network.
I know what you are thinking. "Now I am going to be paying all kinds of high pay per click charges." Not necessarily. You can choose to promote your video through YouTube Paid Promotions and just choose a few unpopular keywords and make a low cost per click bid. This way you get the option of having a nice "Call To Action Overlay" without having to pay the pay per click charges. Of course if you want to optimize your video with lots of keywords and you are willing to pay for it this is fine too.
I hope this tip helps you with your YouTube promotions. If so please like the video and comment below. You are also welcome to embed the video on your blog or website. Thank you!

How To Download Videos From YouTube
This video is a slightly humorous tutorial on how to download videos from YouTube to your hardrive using YouTube Downloader. YouTube Downloader is an extremely popular freeware. The term YouTube Downloader is searched for 5 million times per month! YouTube downloader is the 4th most downloaded program from Cnet downloads. It has been downloaded a staggering 53,368,796 times!
You may already know how to download videos from YouTube, if not check out the short video tutorial and you will learn how in a few minutes. It is very easy. But there is more here than meets the eye. This is also a marketing strategy that you can copy.
I have taken a very popular free piece of software, YouTube Downloader, (Got that search engines? I said YOUUBEDOWNLOADER!) and I did a short humorous tutorial on how to use it. Throughout the video I have let people know they can download the software for free (virus free version) from my Facebook fanpage. I purchased the domain name "coolmarketingsoftware.com" which I have put in the video using the call out feature of Camtasia. This domain name redirects to my Facebook fanpage. My Facebook account defaults to my Fanpage where I have an opt in form promising to give the subscriber access to over $6000. worth of PLR software for subscribing to my newsletter.
In the video I show people how to click on my like button, and how to subscribe. I also show them the download page and tell them which link to click to get the YouTube Downloader software. I also included a title clip at the end of the video giving people another clear call to action to go to my Facebook fanpage and download their free software including the one I did the tutorial on.
So the idea is to grab some of those 5 million searches per month and send them to my video, in turn sending them to my Facebook fanpage so they can become fans and subscribers to my newsletter. So here is the technique.
1. Set up a Facebook fanpage with a great offer or incentive for viewers to both subscribe to your newsletter and like your Fanpage.
2. Find a popular software or product that relates to your site.
3. Reserve an easy to remember domain name that you can put into the video.
4. Place the domain name in the video using call outs.
5. Tell people in the video to go to your Fanpage, subscribe to and like your
fanpage.
6. Tell people why they should do all the above.
7. Put a title clip at the end of the video for at least 10 seconds telling them
again how and why to get their free gift or bonus.
8. Promote the heck out of this video. (More on that in another post.)
I hope you found this tip and video helpful. You are more than welcome to embed this video into your website or blog. Millions of people are looking for this software and how to use it. It could only help your SEO. Plus you are providing valuable content for your viewers. I would appreciate your comments and of course your Facebook likes. Here is the code to copy and paste the video into your website or blog:

How To Get Free Traffic From YouTube Using The Title Hijacker Technique
YouTube is serving more than 150 million videos per day and more than 100k new videos are being uploaded everyday. Collectively YouTube videos are receiving hundreds of millions of views per day.
There is a huge opportunity with YouTube marketing. YouTube recently replaced Yahoo! as the number 2 search engine. YouTube is really a video search engine. It is not just and entertainment site. Most marketers are not fully tapping into the great resource of free traffic.
Here is how you use the title hijacker technique. First type in the keywords for your specific niche into YouTube.
Take a look at the titles of the most popular videos in that niche. Now make your title of your video in YouTube similar but not exactly the same.
For example if you are promoting a video on mixed martial arts and the title of the most viewed videos is "UFC 74 Gonzaga Vs. Couture" you could make your title "UFC 74 Gonzaga Vs. Couture My Predictions" or "UFC 74 Gonzaga Vs. Couture Betting Odds" Just use your imagination.
Now look at the tags of the most popular videos in your niche.
Here is the url for the YouTube Keyword Tool: https://ads.youtube.com/keyword_tool
Copy and paste the urls of the most popular Youtube videos into the keyword tool and you will see the tags and keywords this YouTube video is using.
You will get a list of keywords that this video is using. Use these keywords in your video description and tags.
Also go the the Google Keyword tool here and get more ideas for keywords in your niche. Use these in your description and tags as well. Remember YouTube videos show up very well in search engine results as well. Here is the url for the Google keyword search tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Remember to include the url for your landing page in the beginning of your description with the full http://www. Also tell people in your description and in your video to visit your website.
You can include many keywords in your YouTube description so don't be shy!
Now that you have made your title and tags similar to very popular videos in your niche your YouTube video will start to show up next to popular videos that you imitated in the YouTube search results.
Here is another trick. Make sure the image in the thumbnail of the video is something very eye catching. If it is in the weight loss niche maybe a picture of a very athletic body. Pictures of hot women always seem to work well if you want to go there.
Usually YouTube picks up the picture right in the middle of your video to use in the thumbnail. I have never been able to get this to work.
So for my traffic building videos sometimes I record voice over a very attractive picture. This way YouTube is sure to use the thumbnail I want.
So the goal is to have your videos showing up right along side the popular videos in your niche with a very eye catching thumbnail.
Create 50-100 such videos specific to your niche and watch the traffic roll in! This is very targeted traffic plus it just keeps growing and growing.
There are many more YouTube techniques but this one should get your going. I would appreciate your comments or if you have your own YouTube traffic techniques please share! Please comment below and bookmark this post in all your favorite social media sites. Thank you!

Review Bookmarkwiz Social Bookmarking Software
It is no longer good enough to just make great posts, videos and articles and post them to the popular directories. Mainly they will just site there getting a couple of views here and there. If you are going to get your content noticed you need to promote your content as well especially on other people's websites. One way to do this is by bookmarking everything you post in all the social bookmarking sites.
The problem is that this is very time consuming. I starting looking around for some software which would automate the process and I ran across Bookmarkwiz. Most social bookmarking software is expensive, some have recurring month fees, update fees etc. Not so with Bookmarkwiz. I also like that the software stays away from the less well known social bookmarking sites and concentrates on sites with high page rank value.
Bookmarkwiz is completely automatic. The software allows you to sign up for multiple account with multiple usernames, bypass captcha codes even confirm all the sign up emails automatically with one click! Of course when it comes time to post your bookmarks you just fill out your link title and description (you can put in several of each so that it alternates) and click post. Your link is bookmarked automatically in the major bookmarking sites. This automatically gives your posts, articles or videos high quality backlinks which are immediately viewable in the search engines.
If you are regularly posting content on web you need this software. You can use this to bookmark:
1. All your videos in all the video hosting sites not just youtube
2. All your blog posts
3. All your articles posted in all article directories
4. Your Squidoo pages
5. You forum posts
6. All blog comments you make on other sites
7. All forum comments you make on other people's forums
8. Any websites you just think are cool!
Can you imagine if you had started bookmarking every bit of content you had posted over the last year? This would add up to 1000s of high quality backlinks and traffic to your website. Bookmarkwiz is the only software I have which makes posting automatic in every sense. It is a high quality software, with no recurring fees, excellent support, free updates and complete automation. Just type in social bookmarking software in Google and they are number 1! They must be doing something right!
Included is a very nice bonus as well. Built into the software is a whois database submitter. Have you ever seen results for your domain in the search engines where these whois type sites list your Alexa info, traffic info, whois info, and maybe even an estimated value of your website? These whois search engines scrape the web for new domains and generally are very high ranked. I have set up one of my one here.
Some webmaster are taken aback that their information is on someone else's website without their permission. But from a marketing standpoint it is good to be on these sites. Actually submitting to these whois sites is one of the fastest ways to get indexed in the search engines. Bookmarkwiz has a built in submitter which will submit your site to over 1000 whois search engines with one click! You will see immediate results if you Google your domain after submitting using the whois submitter. This is included with your Bookmarkwiz software. Go ahead and submit all your domains to the whois search engines and bookmark all your content with the social bookmarking software and you are well on your way to getting thousands of quality backlinks and targeted traffic to your website quickly. To see a free video demonstration of the software see here.
