YouTube Promoted Videos How To Put A Clickable Link To Any Website In Your YouTube Video Using Call To Action Overlay

Being able to put a clickable link in your YouTube video with a clear call to action to visit your website is of course highly desirable for those who are using YouTube to market their products. The problem has been with YouTube annotations that you are only allowed to put a clickable link to a url directly on the YouTube network like a channel or another YouTube video. You cannot use YouTube annotations to put a link to a website outside of the YouTube network. So how can a marketer get a real call to action link right in the YouTube video and have it go to his website?

The answer is YouTube Paid Promotions. When you register your video with YouTube Paid Promotions you are allowed what they call a "Call To Action Overlay." This is a very nice blurb you can put at the bottom of your video with a description, display url and destination url. If the viewer clicks on the link they go directly to the website of your choice even if it is not on the YouTube network.

I know what you are thinking. "Now I am going to be paying all kinds of high pay per click charges." Not necessarily. You can choose to promote your video through YouTube Paid Promotions and just choose a few unpopular keywords and make a low cost per click bid. This way you get the option of having a nice "Call To Action Overlay" without having to pay the pay per click charges. Of course if you want to optimize your video with lots of keywords and you are willing to pay for it this is fine too.

I hope this tip helps you with your YouTube promotions. If so please like the video and comment below. You are also welcome to embed the video on your blog or website. Thank you!

How To Download Videos From YouTube

This video is a slightly humorous tutorial on how to download videos from YouTube to your hardrive using YouTube Downloader. YouTube Downloader is an extremely popular freeware. The term YouTube Downloader is searched for 5 million times per month! YouTube downloader is the 4th most downloaded program from Cnet downloads. It has been downloaded a staggering 53,368,796 times!

You may already know how to download videos from YouTube, if not check out the short video tutorial and you will learn how in a few minutes. It is very easy. But there is more here than meets the eye. This is also a marketing strategy that you can copy.

I have taken a very popular free piece of software, YouTube Downloader, (Got that search engines? I said YOUUBEDOWNLOADER!) and I did a short humorous tutorial on how to use it. Throughout the video I have let people know they can download the software for free (virus free version) from my Facebook fanpage. I purchased the domain name "coolmarketingsoftware.com" which I have put in the video using the call out feature of Camtasia. This domain name redirects to my Facebook fanpage. My Facebook account defaults to my Fanpage where I have an opt in form promising to give the subscriber access to over $6000. worth of PLR software for subscribing to my newsletter.

In the video I show people how to click on my like button, and how to subscribe. I also show them the download page and tell them which link to click to get the YouTube Downloader software. I also included a title clip at the end of the video giving people another clear call to action to go to my Facebook fanpage and download their free software including the one I did the tutorial on.

So the idea is to grab some of those 5 million searches per month and send them to my video, in turn sending them to my Facebook fanpage so they can become fans and subscribers to my newsletter. So here is the technique.

1. Set up a Facebook fanpage with a great offer or incentive for viewers to both subscribe to your newsletter and like your Fanpage.
2. Find a popular software or product that relates to your site.
3. Reserve an easy to remember domain name that you can put into the video.
4. Place the domain name in the video using call outs.
5. Tell people in the video to go to your Fanpage, subscribe to and like your
fanpage.
6. Tell people why they should do all the above.
7. Put a title clip at the end of the video for at least 10 seconds telling them
again how and why to get their free gift or bonus.
8. Promote the heck out of this video. (More on that in another post.)

I hope you found this tip and video helpful. You are more than welcome to embed this video into your website or blog. Millions of people are looking for this software and how to use it. It could only help your SEO. Plus you are providing valuable content for your viewers. I would appreciate your comments and of course your Facebook likes.
